Favourite 7 Of 2017

2017 was a year I tried a lot of new foodie products, some I loved and some I wasn't so keen on. I thought I'd share with you my top 7 from the past year and perhaps you can try them too!

So, without any delay and in no particular order...

Pip & Nut
Pip & Nut is without a doubt my favourite brand of nut butter and I've particular enjoyed their products throughout 2017. Their Coconut Almond Butter is a dream and their Crunchy Maple Peanut Butter is drool-worthy. I love the nut butters drizzled on porridge, added to smoothies, spread on toast, slathered on rice cakes or simple a spoonful straight in the tooth....shh, don't tell anyone!

2017 was the year I fell in love with Popcorn. Who knew such a simple product could bring me so much pleasure? My favourite brand of Popcorn has got to be Propercorn. It just has the best taste and texture with the simplest of ingredients. My favourite is undoubtedly Peanut Butter & Almond!

MissFits Nutrition
If I'm honest I was never a protein powder fan before discovering MissFits. I thought all vegan protein powders were a horrid grainy texture, had this weird earthy taste and I never quite trusted the ingredients in them. But then MissFits Nutrition came along and changed everything! Now I consume their protein powder basically every single day. Their flavours vanilla, coffee, mixed berry and chocolate are all unbelievably tasty but my favourite is the classic vanilla. I love to stir it into porridge, add it to smoothies, mix it into yogurt and even add it to my matcha latte!

BFree Pizza Base
I've been a BFree fan ever since I went gluten free, so when I saw they'd come out with a Stone Baked Pizza Base product at the end of 2017 I was beyond excited. I bought the bases in great anticipation - I've never been very impressed with any shop-bought or restaurant bought gluten free pizzas, the bases are normally very thin and haven't got the greatest texture but I was blown away with these BFree pizza bases! My boyfriend and I made them and both enjoyed them so much. They had a delicious taste, perfect texture and were super filling yet remained quite light. Definitely one to try in 2018!

Nush Yogurt
I've really got into snacking on yogurts over the past few months and my favourite brand is Nush who make the most delicious plant-based yogurts. They make both almond milk and cashew milk yogurts with flavours such as blueberry, peach melba and caramel & hibiscus and all of them are wonderful! The texture is very similar to standard dairy yogurts and they have a much more subtle taste than coconut yogurts. I love them and intend on eating a lot more in 2018!

Booja Booja Ice Cream
This isn't a new love of mine but I couldn't not mention Booja Booja ice-cream! Even before I went dairy free it was my favourite ice cream. The ingredients are so natural without any refined sugar, dairy or gluten but the flavours will blow you away! They're insanely creamy, perfectly sweet and taste like utter luxury. My favourite flavour has got to be hazelnut chocolate truffle, closely followed by Caramel Pecan Praline.

The Tofoo Co.
Last but certainly not least is tofu from The Tofoo Co. - it's the best tofu ever! This tofu has the best texture of any tofu I've tried, it's the perfect level of firmness and cooks beautifully. I love to marinate it with tamari and bake it in the oven to create these crispy like pieces of heaven, great with stir fry.
